🚀Getting Started
How do I create an account on UBTApp?+
Visit ubtapp.com and click 'Sign Up'. Enter your name, email, and password. For institute accounts, select 'I represent an institute' and provide your organization details. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account.
Is UBTApp free to use?+
UBTApp offers a free tier with limited practice questions per day. For unlimited access, full question banks, and advanced analytics, upgrade to a paid plan. Institutes receive a 14-day free trial with full features.
What devices are supported?+
UBTApp works on any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. It's fully responsive for mobile and tablet. For the best exam simulation experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer.
Can I use UBTApp offline?+
Currently UBTApp requires an internet connection. We're working on an offline mode for selected practice sessions. Audio questions always require connectivity for streaming.
How do I reset my password?+
On the login page, click 'Forgot password?'. Enter your email address and we'll send a password reset link within 2 minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it. The link expires after 24 hours.
📝Exam Taking
How realistic are the practice exams?+
Our UBT computer-based tests replicate the actual EPS-UBT interface, timing, and question format. Our question bank is updated regularly based on user feedback from recent test takers. Over 85% of students report the practice exams are 'very similar' or 'identical' to the real test.
Can I pause an exam and resume later?+
Practice mode exams can be paused and resumed. Timed mock exams cannot be paused — once started, the timer continues to match real exam conditions. Your progress is auto-saved every 30 seconds.
How does the audio work in listening sections?+
Audio questions stream directly through your browser. Make sure your speakers or headphones are connected and volume is set before starting. Each audio clip can be played once per question in exam mode (matching real conditions) or multiple times in practice mode.
What happens if I lose internet during an exam?+
Your answers are saved locally every 30 seconds. If you disconnect, reconnect and reload the page — your progress will be restored. In timed mock exams, the timer continues running while you're disconnected.
How are exams scored?+
Each correct answer earns one point. There is no negative marking. Your score is calculated immediately on submission. The passing threshold varies by exam type: EPS-UBT requires 80/200 minimum, TOPIK thresholds vary by level.
💳Account & Billing
What payment methods are accepted?+
We accept eSewa, Khalti, and bank transfer for Nepali users. International users can pay via credit/debit card. All payments are processed securely — we never store your payment details.
Can I get a refund?+
We offer a 7-day refund for monthly plans if you haven't used more than 10 practice questions. Annual plans are refundable within 14 days. Contact [email protected] with your order details to initiate a refund.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of your billing period. No cancellation fees — cancel anytime.
Will I lose my progress if I downgrade to free?+
No. Your exam history, scores, and progress data are always retained. You'll lose access to premium features but can re-upgrade any time to restore full access.
🔧Technical Issues
Audio is not playing. What should I do?+
First, check your browser's audio permissions — click the lock icon in the address bar and ensure audio is allowed. Try a different browser. Disable browser extensions that may block audio. If the issue persists, contact support with your browser version and OS.
The exam page is loading slowly. How do I fix this?+
Clear your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete). Disable browser extensions. Switch to a wired connection if possible. UBTApp works best on Chrome 100+ or Safari 16+. If issues persist, try incognito mode to rule out extension conflicts.
Images in questions are not displaying.+
This is usually a network issue. Refresh the page. If on a metered connection, images may be blocked — try on WiFi. Check that your ISP isn't blocking our CDN. Contact support if a specific question consistently shows broken images.
I submitted an exam but my result is not showing.+
Results typically appear within 10 seconds of submission. If you don't see your result after 1 minute, go to Dashboard → Exam History — your result will be there. If it's missing entirely, contact support with the exam date and time.
🏫For Institutes
How do I add students to my institute?+
In your admin dashboard, go to Students → Add Students. You can add individually by email or bulk import via CSV. Students receive an invitation email with login instructions. Imported students can be assigned to classes immediately.
Can students use my institute account independently?+
Students have their own login and can practice independently within your institute's subscription. As an admin, you can see all activity, restrict exam access, and set practice quotas per student.
How do I set up custom branding?+
Go to Settings → Branding. Upload your logo, set your primary color, and configure your institute name. These appear on all exams and student-facing pages. Custom domain setup is available on Enterprise plans.
Can I create my own exam questions?+
Yes. Go to Exams → Create Exam → Add Questions. You can create text, image, audio, and text+audio questions. Questions are saved to your institute's question bank and can be reused across multiple exams.
